The Team

Missy Wyant Smit

As the fifth ranked agent in San Francisco, Missy’s interest in real estate began early. She spent several summers working for a real estate investment company where projects ranged from analyzing investments and managing renovations to creating marketing materials for rental properties. For the last twenty years, she has served on the board of a privately held real estate company, which develops and manages residential and commercial properties in urban neighborhoods.

Missy has been a San Francisco real estate agent for fifteen years and consistently ranks within the top 10 agents in the city. Prior to being a founding agent of Compass San Francisco in 2016, Missy was the #1 producer at Hill & Company. She enjoys an exceptional reputation both with her clients and colleagues and is known for being hardworking, direct and trustworthy. Her clients will tell you that she goes out of her way to identify and adjust to their needs. Service is the operative word.

Enthusiastic, competitive, and goal-oriented, Missy is a graduate of Princeton University, where she captained a national championship squash team and achieved first team All-American honors four times. She remains an active squash player at The University Club and plays in tournaments across the country. She brings that same exceptional level of performance and a winning mentality to her real estate practice.

Missy is married to Yvo Smit and they have two daughters who attend the Katherine Delmar Burke School. Together they enjoy San Francisco's outdoor lifestyle and the city's restaurants.

Sharon Clark

A San Francisco native, Sharon was born in Bernal Heights and grew up on both coasts, eventually attending Boston University. She began her real estate career photographing properties during her senior year of college before graduating in 2008 with a degree in International Relations and Spanish Language and Literature. She spent two years traveling through Central and South America, improving her Spanish and exploring the cultures. Upon her return, Sharon lived briefly in Atlanta, Georgia and finally moved back to San Francisco in 2012 and has been focused on her real estate career ever since. In 2014 she began working as an agent on a team with Missy Wyant Smit, where she has worked on over $500 million in real estate transactions.

Having worked in real estate markets all over the country, she is uniquely qualified to work in San Francisco’s dynamic and fast-paced market and has learned through her travels that adaptability is essential to the city’s ever-changing real estate landscape. Her minute attention to detail and organizational skills in addition to her ever-present optimism are the backbones of a well-oiled process that results in the best possible service and outcomes for her clients.

A competitive swimmer, Sharon recently swam the English Channel as part of a Swim Across America relay team in an effort to raise money for pediatric cancer research. In addition to swimming, she enjoys exploring new restaurants and hiking trails all over the Bay Area.

After almost 10 years living in different parts of the country, Julia is thrilled to be back to her Northern California roots, currently calling Laurel Heights home.  Originally from Sacramento, she attended the University of Kentucky where she earned a Communications Degree and enjoyed experiencing everything the South has to offer.  Upon graduating, she made the move back to California, landing first in Orange County and eventually Los Angeles.  Her real estate path began in Southern California where she worked as the Systems Director for a fast-growing and award-wining brokerage firm.  During her four years there, she helped grow the company from 20 employees to a team of over 100 and from one office to five offices across the country.  Her focus was to create effective internal systems that provided unmatched support for the brokerage team, ultimately ensuring outstanding service for clients.

Despite daily sunshine that comes with being a Southern California resident, Julia was eager to make her way back to the Bay Area.  She spent her first year in San Francisco working for a real estate private equity company, which invests in high-profile developments.  In 2018, Julia began working as Project Manager on Missy Wyant Smit’s top-producing Compass team.

Like the rest of the team, Julia’s drive to win started as a high school and college lacrosse player. Julia continues to live and enjoy an active lifestyle, frequently taking advantage of the City’s many spin studios and running trails.  She enjoys exploring Northern California’s diversity with weekend trips to Wine Country, Lake Tahoe and Carmel.  When she’s not traveling, you’re likely to find Julia spending her weekends in the Presidio with her chocolate Lab, cheering on her Kentucky Wildcats, or exploring San Francisco in search of the City’s best fish tacos.

Taylor serves as a buyer’s agent for Missy’s team. She cultivated a love of real estate during many late nights spent pouring over listings online, buying her own home in San Francisco and visiting endless open houses just for fun.

Taylor comes to real estate via journalism. During her time as a writer and editor at OZY Media she published over 100 original news features and reported on everything from dictators in The Gambia to life saving medical research at Stanford and high-tech neuroscience therapies created here in the Bay Area. She has profiled dozens of entrepreneurs, artists and innovators from around the world and loves getting to know what makes people tick — a skill she brings to her real estate deals.

A California native, Taylor has called many cities home. Over the last decade she has lived in Los Angeles, Washington, D.C., southwest Madagascar, Cape Town and Kigali. She finally returned to the Bay Area to attend graduate school at Stanford and has stuck around since. She is also a graduate of the University of Southern California, where she studied international relations and economics.

Today, she lives in Noe Valley with her husband and their two dogs. Taylor enjoys taking her dogs on hikes up Twin Peaks, finding the best new restaurants in the Mission and is a regular at Soul Cycle in the Castro. When she isn't in the city, you can find her on the slopes in Tahoe or in search of her next favorite rosé in Napa.

As the marketing manager for the MWS team, Hannah is always dreaming up the best ways of connecting Missy with her beloved current/future clients. She is passionate about making every single touchpoint meaningful and stands behind the old saying “the customer is always right”. This way of thinking began early for Hannah as she grew up working in her family’s furniture and home décor store in the Central Valley. After realizing that sales and marketing came naturally to her, she went on to attend the University of Oregon where she studied Business Administration and Marketing. After several summers in New York City and some time studying international marketing in Spain, Hannah began a career in sales with Gallo Winery, where she presented marketing campaigns to some of northern California’s top-grossing accounts. She later went on to lead a sales team at a tech startup here in San Francisco.

Hannah loves to support local female entrepreneurs, is an active member at The Wing, and in her free time, she volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for a teen in foster care. When Hannah isn’t gleefully running around San Francisco with the MWS team, she lives in Russian Hill with her husband where she enjoys wine nights and interior design.
